Essential Staffcare - Run! Terrible Service
I called them today and got a 47-minute runaround. No explanation or apology for why they didnt process my claim. The rep said Id just have to wait for coverage until 02/24. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was denied. The rep said shed spoken with a supervisor, who said theyd have to do research and call me back. I insisted on a supervisor, and finally got one who tersely said I could make retro payments and be covered today. I agreed and she transferred me to their payments department. They said they couldnt take my payment because Im not enrolled and theyll have to call me back in two business days. Ridiculous!

Needing Government Investigation

Billing nightmare. Every-time, before and after, I went to the doctors, I would have to check if anything was going to be covered. The customer service representatives are rude and treat you as you are ignorant. One laughed at me, literally laughed, when I explained my knowledge in medical documents. I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry with medical billing and coding and in medical software for medical reporting, I guess I'm the ignorant one who doesn't understand anything about medical documentation. Filing for reimbursement is ridiculous. They will lie and produce random stories to prevent from paying out claims. A clinic I visited regularly had to write off my visits because Essential Staff Care doesn't pay enough for the visit.

I have read the reviews. First you need to do your homework. This is a Medical Discount plan without any discount. think about it what would you expect for $100 A MONTH. My case was $27 a week through payroll,. also reports say this is legal but NOT up to medical Insurance standards.

We didn’t apply for any insurance through this company just got cards last week sad we were working for temporary agents no we don’t! I will be reporting them cause this doesn’t sound right.

My Fiance is having medical issues

My fiance was seen in the emergency room on March 3rd, 2018. He contacted the insurance company to be told he was covered until March 5th, 2018 and he made a payment. The payment that was made is now being returned after he was told he covered by the insurance company. The claims department claims to have no record of him being told he was covered as we now suspect they have no legitimate way of keeping records. Stories constantly change and now they are stating he is responsible for the medical bill of over $2K. This company is a fraud. There needs to be an investigation into their services. He is told once again he covered again. This is terrible and he is walking around with a fractured rib. Can someone really investigate them and the claim processing?

Staff isn’t knowledgeable about coverage

I called customer service twice and asked if my card was ok to use for a doctors visit. Customer service said yes it’s active and ok to schedule an appointment with doctor. After a week later I had already scheduled and appointment with doctor to find out they didn’t cover me at all. Customer service is very unknowledgeable and cant be trusted with coverage.

This insurance is the absolute worst. If you have any issues, they will not work with you. They can't seem to let you explain anything, either. Instead, they consistently interrupt you and are exceedingly rude as ***. Their supervisor even hung up on me! Horrible customer service. I've seen five year olds with better manners. -400/10: would NOT recommend.

Temporary dentist to fill in two weeks caused so much damage

I am terribly disappointed in this company. In JuneI needed a fill in dentist for two weeks. They highly recommended one of their "skilled" dentist. I have had so many problems I wish I had just closed the office instead. She ran behind schedule no matter how simplified I tried to revamp the schedule. She removed so much bone in surgical extractions it compromised adjacent teeth. She overprepped teeth that now the crowns won't stay on. I have kept the models and pre-op xrays in case I get sued for her work. I know of two patients who left my practice because of her and the staff said she sabotaged Fridays schedule just so she could be done. I cancelled the second week and was so glad I made that decision instead of letting her make the damage worse. When we called the company today June 7th to ask what do I do when I have to remove crowns of adjacent teeth to double splint crowns because the one she did won't hold we were told by Nick there is nothing they can do and that in the future WE need to check references better. Can you believe they blamed us? Their tone was so different before. They said that they guaranteed their dentist work. They claim to stand behind who they send you...They don't. Don't use this company. I wish I hadn't because I don't know yet how I will fix what this dentist caused.

Rude and Unhelpful Customer service

The staff is very rude and unhelpful. I tried to call them regarding charges that were sent for my dad's Xrays and Radiological examination without deducting any insurance adjustments. Customer service rep was very rude and was rushing to end the call without putting effort into helping me. She told me to call the Primary care provider and ask them to submit claim. When asked about fax or angood mailing address for insurance company, she waa way too fast. I asked her to repeat it and yet again, she just hastily said it trying to get rid of the call. I found her very rude and unhelpful!

Horrible, rude customer service representatives. Unable to answer the most basic questions about the coverages they offer. Phone system "disconnects" callers when transferring. An absolute disgrace to the health insurance industry. They exemplify everything that is wrong with the health insurance industry. They are happy to take my premiums each month, but are unable and unwilling to answer questions. CSRs think that "I don't know" is an acceptable answer to a customer's questions. I have given their name to my state insurance commission, as I would like to know how many complaints they have against them. They are taking advantage of temporary workers who have no other options for healthcare coverage. I would rather pay the government the penalty for being uninsured than give them money.

I never signed up for their insurance, they took premiums of my check, WITHOUT permission. Each and every time I called about it, they were rude, unprofessional and basically did not care that they did NOT have my permission to take premiums out of my pay check!!!!!! Essential StaffCare is the worst insurance management company ever

They are having supervisors call and leave fake names. I was told to call back and as for a supervisor named Joe and when I called they said no one by that name works there or has worked there.

When I asked for a supervisor and complained, she said I won't talk to you if you are yelling and I assured her I was NOT yelling, I was talking firmly. They are idiots and ignorant as a stump.

I have been trying to get to my account on-line since January and I still can't get access. They are NOT paying my claims properly, they have NO ONE who knows what their product are or what coverage they offer, if you ask 3 people questions you get 5 different answers, they are rude, they are ignorant, and their customer service is non-existent. I have a disability and need proper medical care and I am not getting it because of the horrible service and horrible people at this company. The company for whom I work, Meridian Technologies, has been trying to get them to do their job, but they are not having any more luck than I am having. These people need to be sued with a class action law suit and they need to be put out of business.

After several calls to the Department of Labor, many calls to my employer, and getting the company's financial advisor involved, we ask meet on the phone. Once again I was promised coverage back to Jan 1 on most items and Jan 5 for the indemnity coverage. They also assured me they would reprocess claims not paid as they should have been, they would pay indemnity claim in a timely manner. They also said they would make sure I have to all info through our HR director while they work in an update to their computer system so someday we can get to our info online. That was 2 - 3 weeks ago. So far nothing has been oaid, there have been no system changes, and I see no differences and improvements.
